The Family Guide section of fishIDER will allow you to locate and view different families of fish that are commonly found in Indonesian fish markets. On this page the families are grouped into their higher classifications; Osteichthyes (bony fish), Elasmobranchii (cartilaginous fish) and crustacean (crabs, lobsters, shrimps, etc.). Within each of the family pages, there are interactive keys which allow you to navigate to a specific genus or species, a ‘Similar groups’ section including explanations highlighting how to identify them apart, and also direct links to the species, found at the bottom of each Family page.
It should be noted that fishIDER is currently under development, and so not all families or species are available.
