Characteristic features:
Colour:

Pale red to yellow with a black stripe from nose, through eye to caudal peduncle.

Size:

Up to 18 cm TL.

Distribution:

Northwest Pacific in tropical waters.

Habitat:

Subtidal over coral and rocky reefs, from 60 to 80 m depth.
