Size:

Up to 60 cm TL.

Distribution:

West Pacific in tropical waters.

Habitat:

Associated with deep rocky reefs, from 100 to 310 m depth.

Biology:

Feeds on plankton. Little is know about the biology or ecology of this species.

Indonesian fisheries:

Caught mainly with handlines.
